1. The gas detector verifies the accuracy of the gas concentration in the detecting environment. The actual value differs significantly from the theoretical value. To ensure the accuracy of the detection, it is advised to calibrate the instrument using standard gas or to send it to a pertinent third party above the provincial level. Verification and calibration by metrological verification institutions; dealing with such difficulties of product accuracy is challenging for unqualified institutions.
2. To find out if the gas sensor may still be utilized after calibration, check with the manufacturer if the detection is still unreliable. Even if the sensor can be used regularly shortly after being recalibrated if the sensor is approaching the end of its useful life, the measurement will still take place after some time. It is advised to get in touch with the manufacturer to have the gas sensor replaced because the value is unreliable and the drift value is excessive.
3. If the gas sensor is used for a long time, there may be errors in the measured value, and the detector needs to be recalibrated.
