How to operate a hand-held gas detector
The portable gas detection alarm is a portable instrumentation tool used to detect harmful gases. When the measured gas concentration reaches or exceeds the predetermined dangerous concentration value, an audible and visual alarm signal will be issued.
Portable gas detectors include single gas detectors and multi-gas composite detectors.
Roughly similar. How to use it?
1. Before entering the work area, safety confirmation must be carried out, and corresponding safety protection, such as face shields and gas masks, etc. must be done to ensure the safety of the testers and eliminate potential safety hazards before entering the work area for testing. When the portable gas detector alarms, it should withdraw from the working face in time and save and record the detection data. After more than half an hour of forced ventilation, two measurements and tests are carried out. The test personnel must write the test results of the workplace on the confirmation sheet and take full responsibility for the accuracy of the test data.
2. After the inspection, confirm to turn over the warning sign according to the regulations. The warning sign should be hung at a reliable place at the entrance of the work site. Other personnel are not allowed to flip the warning sign, and at the same time avoid being affected by other reasons; the staff can only enter the work site when they see the green side. The on-duty production supervisor shall supervise and inspect the work of the on-duty inspectors to ensure the effective implementation of these regulations.
3. Put the probe of the portable gas detector in the environment to be tested. When the gas to be tested leaks, the value displayed on the concentration becomes larger. When the value exceeds the alarm setting value, the alarm indicator lights up and an alarm sounds. When the probe moves to the leak source, the value displayed on the gas detector concentration display screen increases, and the reading is recorded.
