How to replace the battery and fuse of a multimeter?

 

Warning: To prevent electric shock, do not operate the instrument and disconnect the probe from the power source before or after opening the battery back cover.


When the battery voltage is insufficient, the symbol "How to replace the battery and fuse with a multimeter? See Figure 1" will appear on the display screen. At this time, the battery should be replaced.


Follow the steps below to install the battery.

Battery installation
Warning: To prevent electric shock, do not operate the instrument and disconnect the probe from the power source before or after opening the battery back cover.
1. Disconnect the probe from the instrument panel.


2. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the nut on the battery back cover.


3. Install the battery correctly, and the positive and negative poles should be consistent.


4. Cover the battery back cover and tighten the screws.


Warning: To prevent electric shock, do not operate the instrument panel before installing and fixing the battery back cover.


Attention: If the instrument panel is not working properly, please check whether the fuse and battery are intact and placed in the correct position.


Replace the fuse
Warning: To prevent electric shock, please disconnect the probe and power supply before opening the fuse door.
1. Disconnect the probe from the instrument and other measured objects.


2. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the nut on the fuse door.


3. Gently remove the used fuse.


4. Install a new fuse.


5. Use fuses of the correct model and value. (0.5A/600V fast melting fuse for 400mA range, 20A/250V fast melting fuse for 20A range)


6. Close the back cover and tighten the screws.


Warning: To prevent electric shock, do not operate the instrument panel until the safety cover is tightly closed.
