How to solder so that the soldering iron's tip doesn't rust
1. The welding temperature of the automatic soldering machine and the precautions when it is suspended
The temperature of the automatic soldering machine should be lower than 400°C as much as possible during welding. When the machine stops welding midway, the power of the machine and the temperature controller should be turned off and tin should be added to the tip of the soldering iron to avoid empty burning of the machine, and tin should always be kept on the tip of the soldering iron.
2. The soldering iron head of the automatic soldering machine should be cleaned frequently
If the tinned part of the soldering iron tip contains black oxide, it can be coated with a new tin layer, and then wipe the soldering iron tip with a damp cleaning sponge. Repeat the cleaning until the oxide is completely removed, and then apply a new layer of tin. And clean the tip of the soldering iron regularly.
3. Selection and welding of the soldering iron tip of the automatic soldering machine:
When the automatic soldering machine is soldering, do not use the soldering iron tip to pick or squeeze the object to be welded. To clean the soldering iron tip, use a cleaning sponge produced by the original factory/professional manufacturer, and add some water. After adding water, squeeze it dry with your hands to keep the sponge moist. That's it.
4. Keep the surface of the soldering iron tip of the automatic soldering machine clean:
Do not remove the excess solder on the tip of the soldering iron before turning off the soldering station. These excess tin will protect the surface of the upper tin and prevent it from oxidizing while the tip of the soldering iron is still hot. Do not add any compound to the tinned surface.
5. The soldering iron head of the automatic soldering machine is used for other purposes:
Because of electroplating, the tip of the soldering iron should never be filed or ground, and the chrome tip should not be rubbed with rough objects. It is recommended to use fresh solder to coat the tip of the soldering iron when heating for the first time, so as to remove the oxide covered on it.
6. The automatic soldering machine should replace the soldering iron head in time
As the automatic soldering machine is used longer, the soldering iron tip will also undergo small-scale deformation and heavy corrosion. At this time, the soldering iron tip must be replaced in time, otherwise a large number of non-scale products will appear.
