How to use the pointer clamp meter

① Preparations Before using the clamp meter to measure, make the following preparations:

a. Install the battery. The early clamp meter can only measure current without installing a battery, while the current pin meter can not only measure current and voltage, but also measure resistance, so it is required to install a battery in the meter. When installing the battery, open the battery cover, and put the battery with the required size and voltage into the battery box of the clamp meter. When installing, pay attention to the polarity of the battery and the label on the battery box.

b. Mechanical zero calibration. Place the clamp meter flat on the table and observe whether the needle points to the "0" scale of the current scale line. If not, use a screwdriver to adjust the mechanical zero calibration knob under the dial and adjust the needle to the "0" scale.

c. Install test leads. If you only use the clamp meter to measure the current, you do not need to install the test lead; if you want to measure the voltage and resistance, you need to install the test lead to the clamp meter. When installing the test leads, insert the red test lead into the jack marked "+", and the black test lead into the jack marked "-" or "COM".
