Introduction to the composition of a DC stabilized power supply unit

 

DC regulated power supply is mainly composed of four parts: power transformer, rectifier circuit, filter circuit and voltage regulator circuit.


1. Power transformer
Power transformer is a kind of soft magnetic electromagnetic components, function is power transmission, voltage conversion and insulation isolation, in the power supply technology and power electronics technology has been widely used.


2.Rectifier Circuit
"Rectifying circuit" (rectifying circuit) is a circuit that converts alternating current (AC) energy into direct current (DC) energy. Most rectifying circuits consist of a transformer, rectifier main circuit and filter. It is widely used in the fields of speed regulation of DC motors, excitation regulation of generators, electrolysis, electroplating, and so on. Rectifier circuit usually consists of the main circuit, filter and transformer, after the 1970s, the main circuit is composed of silicon rectifier diodes and thyristors. The filter is connected between the main circuit and the load to filter out the AC component of the pulsating DC voltage. The transformer is set up or not depending on the specific situation. The function of the transformer is to realize the matching between the AC input voltage and the DC output voltage as well as the galvanic isolation between the AC grid and the rectifier circuit.


Rectifier circuit is the role of the AC step-down circuit output of the lower voltage alternating current into a unidirectional pulsating direct current, which is the rectification process of alternating current, rectifier circuit mainly consists of rectifier diodes. After the rectifier circuit after the voltage is no longer AC voltage, but a mixed voltage containing DC voltage and AC voltage. Customarily known as one-way pulsating DC voltage.


3. Filter circuit
Filter circuit is often used to filter out the ripple in the rectified output voltage, generally composed of reactance components, such as load resistor parallel capacitor C, or series inductors with the load L, as well as by capacitors, inductors composed of a variety of complex filter circuit.


4. Voltage regulator circuit
Voltage regulator circuit refers to the input voltage, load, ambient temperature, circuit parameters, etc. changes can still maintain a constant output voltage circuit. This circuit can provide a stable DC power supply, widely used in various electronic devices.
