Magnification Calibration and Solutions When Microscopes Are Used for Measurement
The multiple calibration of microscope measurement refers to the debugging and calibration of the entire product before measuring the measured object.
The commonly used equipment includes microscopes (biological, stereological, or metallographic), measurement software, light sources, and objective rulers (complete set of equipment and objective rulers).
The specific steps are as follows: adjust the microscope to the required multiple, place the objective scale under the microscope in the X direction, and then adjust the focal length until the observed objective scale is the clearest. Open the measurement software, enter the calibration menu, first calibrate in the X direction, use the calibration line of the software to align the measurement line above the objective scale.
The more lines (screenshots of measurement and calibration), the smaller the error. After confirmation, a dialog box will appear. Enter the actual size (screenshots of measurement and calibration) in the dialog box. For example, if the actual size of a line is 0.01mm, and the number of lines we aim at is 10, then enter 0.1mm in the dialog box so that our X direction calibration is complete, and then Turn the bench scale to the Y direction and repeat the above steps until the Y direction calibration is completed.
Attention: 1. Different software versions have different calibration methods. Please refer to the operation manual before use, and follow the operation manual for accuracy. 2. Different multiples need to be calibrated. Do not use a calibration coefficient on multiple multiples to avoid affecting measurement accuracy. Try to calibrate all available multiples and store them in the system. When using different multiples, retrieve the coefficients corresponding to them.
