Measures to Prevent Smoke and Dust Pollution During Electrician Welding

The smoke contains a large amount of solid particles and contains a small amount of toxicity, such as manganese, which may lead to chronic manganese poisoning of welders, weakened immunity, and groggy all day long. They can't find anything in the hospital, so they can only rest at home and put Only when the toxins are cleansed can it be recovered.

Occupational pneumoconiosis of welders is caused by long-term exposure to smoke and dust. According to incomplete statistics, the probability of suffering from pneumoconiosis is 60% after welding for more than 20 years.

The main measures to prevent smoke and dust pollution include:

1. Standard protective masks, such as N95 masks, should also be worn in ordinary environments.

2. For welding in a small space in a closed environment, you must wear an air-supply mask or a gas mask.

3. The working environment must have ventilation facilities, environmental protection equipment, smoke exhaust system and purification device, and the indoor smoke and dust content should not be higher than the national standard.

What are the functions of rosin in electrical welding

Rosin is used as a flux in welding and acts as a flux.
The melting point of flux is lower than that of solder, and its specific gravity, viscosity, and surface tension are smaller than that of solder. During soldering, the flux melts first, and quickly flows and covers the surface of the solder, which plays the role of isolating the air and preventing the oxidation of the metal surface. Under high temperature, it reacts with the oxide film on the surface of the solder and the metal to be welded to melt it and restore the pure metal surface. Appropriate soldering tin helps to produce satisfactory solder joint shape and maintain the surface gloss of solder joints.

If it is a newly printed circuit board, apply a layer of rosin perfume on the surface of the copper foil before soldering. If it is a prepared circuit board, it can be directly soldered.

Use rosin according to personal habits. Some people dip the soldering iron tip in rosin after soldering a component, and some people dip some rosin on the soldering iron tip when it is oxidized and inconvenient to use.

The use of rosin is relatively simple. Open the rosin box and dip the tip of the energized soldering iron on it.

If solid core solder is used for soldering, some rosin must be added; if rosin tin soldering wire is used (flux is wrapped in the wire core), rosin may not be used.

When the metal surface is in contact with air, a layer of oxide film will be formed. The higher the temperature, the more severe the oxidation. Flux is a special material used to remove oxide film, also known as flux.

The three functions of flux:
1. Removal of oxide film: The substance in the flux undergoes a reduction reaction to remove the oxide film, and the reaction product becomes suspended slag, which floats on the surface of the solder.

2. Prevent oxidation: After the rosin is melted, it floats on the surface of the solder to form an isolation layer and prevent the oxidation of the soldering surface.

3. Reduce the surface tension, increase the fluidity of the solder, and help the solder to wet the weldment.
