Merits of Infrared Thermometers in Practical Use

① High Precision: Infrared thermometers usually have an accuracy within 1°C. This performance is particularly important for preventive maintenance, such as monitoring harsh production conditions and abnormal events that may cause equipment damage or shutdown. With an infrared thermometer, you can even quickly detect tiny changes in operating temperature, resolve problems at an early stage, and reduce expenses and maintenance scope caused by equipment failures.

② Convenience: Infrared thermometers deliver fast temperature readings. Within the time it takes for a thermocouple to measure one leaky connection point, an infrared thermometer can read temperatures of nearly all connection points. In addition, infrared thermometers are rugged and lightweight. They can be easily stored in a protective case when not in use and carried for factory patrols and routine inspections.

③ Remote Measurement Capability: Infrared thermometers can reliably measure the temperature of hard-to-reach or inaccessible targets within the instrument's rated range. Non-contact temperature measurement can also be performed in unsafe areas or regions where contact temperature measurement is difficult. Taking measurements is just as easy as measuring objects close at hand.
