Metallurgical microscope Low magnification use

1. Aligning the light of metallurgical microscope

With the left hand, turn the coarse adjustment screw to make the lens barrel rise or the carrier platform down, and then rotate the objective converter to make the low-magnification lens aligned with the carrier platform through the light hole (rotation should be careful to make the objective lens above the lack of engraving and the base of the fixed buckle buckle), open the aperture, rotate the collector lens lifting screw, so that the collector mirror on the upper end of the lens plane is slightly lower than the height of the plane of the carrier platform, the two eyes at the same time, while adjusting the direction of the reflector until the field of view of the The light is even and the brightness is moderate.

2. Metallographic microscope Placement of slide specimen

Take a slide specimen and place it on the carrier stage with the cover slip side facing upwards, fix it on the pusher, then turn the pusher screw by hand to align the specimen to be observed with the centre of the aperture.

3. Metallographic microscope Adjusting the focus

Turn the coarse adjustment screw by hand, make the low magnification lens <6mm from the slide specimen (when adjusting the distance between the objective lens and the slide must be watched from the side, do not turn the coarse adjustment screw at the same time as observing with your eyes on the eyepiece to prevent the lens from colliding with the slide and causing damage), and then open your eyes at the same time, turn the coarse adjustment screw slowly by hand so that the lens rises or make the carrier table fall, when the object image in the field of view is viewed, then adjust the fine adjustment screw until a clear object image appears in the field of view. When the object image appears in the field of view, adjust the fine adjustment screw until a clear object image appears in the field of view. If the object image is not in the centre of the field of view, move the slide specimen up and down, left and right (Note: the direction of movement of the slide is opposite to the direction of movement of the observed object image). If the distance between the lens and the specimen slice has exceeded the working distance when adjusting the focal length and the object image is not seen, then it should be reopened strictly according to the above steps.
