Methods for Measuring pH Using a pH Meter (Acidimeter)
A pH meter is a common analytical instrument widely used in fields such as agriculture, environmental protection, and industry. Let's learn together how to use a pH meter to measure pH value and the precautions when using it.
(1) Take off the pen cap
(2) Press the on/off key, and the machine will display operation
(3) Place the pH meter into the liquid to be tested
(4) Gently shake the pH meter to ensure that the bubbles inside escape and come into full contact with the solution, without colliding with the cup wall
(5) The pH meter will immediately display the value. Place the pen in the liquid to be tested and wait for the value to stabilize. Within 30 seconds, the correct value will be displayed. (Note: It is normal for the pH meter value to fluctuate or be unstable.)
(6) Press the hold button to lock the value, which can be recorded and read outside the test solution. Continue to press the hold button to unlock
(7) Press the on/off key to turn off the pH meter
(8) Gently shake off excess water on the pH meter test pen, rinse with distilled water or deionized water, cover the pen cap to measure temperature. In test mode, the temperature value and pH value are displayed synchronously on the LCD panel, but not in calibration mode. The value defaults to Celsius temperature.
