Operational Guidelines for Toxic Gas Detectors in Underground Work
1. For better use of the instrument, please carefully read the instruction manual before use.
2. Before testing, the preheating time of this instrument should be reasonably controlled. For example, if there is a high demand for results when it has not been used for more than 2 hours, it is recommended to preheat for 15 minutes.
3. If the battery level is less than 40%, it is recommended to charge it for emergency use.
4. This instrument is equipped with a PTFE sampling tube. If there is a lot of dust, it is recommended to use a sampling tube with a dust filter inserted into the air inlet (left nozzle). Otherwise, it is not recommended to use a sampling tube with a filter; The air outlet can be connected to the trachea according to the situation.
5. After detecting toxic and harmful gases, it is necessary to enter the detection mode again in a clean environment for gas detection until the concentration values of various toxic and harmful gases return to 0ppm, and continue for more than 1 minute before shutting down and placing it in the instrument box.
6. The ideal working temperature for most sensors is 20 degrees Celsius, so when used in low-temperature environments, the sensor response will be slower than usual, especially for semiconductor sensors such as odor sensors, which require a long preheating time and a certain temperature to accurately detect.
In environments with high humidity (greater than 65% RH), sensor signals are usually biased.
Before detecting the target environment, it is necessary to verify whether the instrument can work properly. The following steps can be performed in a clean environment:
Turn on the device in clean air and enter detection mode.
The clean air detector will preheat each sensor according to the required preheating time, and the preheating time will be displayed in the bottom right corner of the screen with a : preheating xxx; The unit is seconds. The data during preheating is inaccurate.
If all detection items cannot return to zero in clean air, it is recommended to wait for a few more minutes until the sensor returns to zero before entering the target environment for detection.
If the environment cannot return to zero even after 10-15 minutes in clean air, it should be considered whether the environment is truly clean.
Especially in industrial areas, the atmospheric environment is also very poor. The method to eliminate this problem is to keep the instrument away from the contaminated area, then turn it on for testing to see if it returns to zero. If the problem persists, please contact us.
