Precautions and Methods for Selecting a Laser Rangefinder
Points to consider when choosing a rangefinder:
Measuring range
Measuring accuracy
Application scenarios
Laser rangefinder manufacturers generally categorize applications into the following cases:
a) Distance measurement within several meters to more than ten meters with low accuracy requirements. *Recommendation: An ultrasonic rangefinder may be selected. *Note: The measurement performance of ultrasonic rangefinders is greatly affected by the environment. They have poorer stability and directivity than laser rangefinders, but are relatively inexpensive and suitable for indoor measurement.
b) Short measuring distances, mostly for indoor use, with high accuracy requirements. *Recommendation: Purchase a handheld laser rangefinder. *Recommended product: Swiss LEICA A5 series handheld digital laser rangefinder. *Note: Handheld laser rangefinders are suitable for indoor use and deliver excellent measurement accuracy and performance. (If detection is required outdoors, it is recommended to use a professional laser sight and reflector together to achieve the expected measuring range and results.)
c) Long measuring distances, mostly for outdoor use. *Recommendation: Purchase a telescopic laser rangefinder (laser rangefinder binocular), such as the Jintai LDM70 rangefinder binocular. *Features: It functions both as a telescope and a rangefinder. Equipped with multi-fold magnification, users can easily aim at targets for distance measurement through the crosshair sight inside the eyepiece. It adopts eye-safe invisible infrared laser transmission and reception to accurately measure target distance. This laser rangefinder features compact size and light weight for easy portability.
