Precautions for routine maintenance of gas monitors

For gas detectors currently available in the market for limited spaces, most of them are used for gas detection, explosive gases, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, and other gases, as these hazardous gases are the most common. However, instrument manufacturers cannot guarantee the suitability of the instruments. So the issue of applicability should still be evaluated and determined by the purchasing and usage environment. Therefore, when selecting a detector, the following aspects should be considered: applicability, capability and limitations, reliability, stability, protection requirements, easy identification, and convenience to choose a suitable detector for use.

Gas detectors mainly use gas sensors to detect the types of gases present in the environment. Gas sensors are sensors used to detect the composition and content of gases. It is generally believed that the definition of gas sensors is based on the classification of detection targets, which means that any sensor used to detect gas composition and concentration is called a gas sensor, whether it is using physical or chemical methods. For example, sensors that detect gas flow are not considered gas sensors, but thermal conductivity gas analyzers are important gas sensors, although they sometimes use roughly the same detection method for detecting pathogens that many businesses and households use. Gas detectors can be easily purchased on the market, but it is inevitable to encounter some malfunctions during use. Many times, we only encounter minor malfunctions that we can fix ourselves, but because we don't understand some common sense, we can only hire professional personnel to help repair them. Below, we will introduce the common faults and maintenance of gas detectors.

The possible faults and cause analysis of the gas detector are as follows:
There is no display when turned on. Membrane switch malfunction; Battery lead breakage: The battery voltage is severely insufficient.

There is only a negative sign when starting up, and pressing the "voltage" button will not output the number. Power supply failure or short circuit on its output side.

The startup only has a decimal point. The sensing element has a loss loop; Or a component in the bridge circuit is soldered off.

No alarm for exceeding the limit. Loudspeaker damage: alarm line disconnected.

The accuracy cannot be adjusted to the standard gas sample. Severe dust accumulation in the explosion-proof cover; Sensor aging.

Repair requirements for gas detectors:

Unauthorized disassembly of this instrument is prohibited, and maintenance work should be carried out by trained professionals.

When a malfunction occurs during use, it is not allowed to disassemble and repair the machine underground.

Sensors and battery packs are special explosion-proof components that must be replaced as a whole after damage. Our factory provides spare parts and cannot replace them with other types of components.
