Precautions for use to avoid damage to the multimeter

1, digital multimeter damage in most cases because of the measurement of the wrong gear caused by, such as in the measurement of AC utility, the measurement of the gear selection is placed in the resistance block, in this case, once the pen contact with the utility, instantly can cause damage to the internal components of the multimeter. Therefore, before using the multimeter to measure, you must check whether the measurement position is correct. At the end of the use, the measurement selection will be placed in the AC 750V or DC 1000V, so that in the next measurement, no matter what parameters are measured by mistake, it will not cause damage to the digital multimeter.

2、Some digital multimeters are damaged because the measured voltage and current exceed the range. Such as in the AC 20V gear measurement of utility power, it is easy to cause damage to the digital multimeter AC amplifier circuit, so that the multimeter loses the AC measurement function. When measuring DC voltage, the measured voltage exceeds the measuring range, which is also easy to cause the failure of the internal circuit of the meter. When measuring current, if the actual current value exceeds the range, it will only cause the fuse in the multimeter to blow, and will not cause other damages. Therefore, when measuring voltage parameters, if you don't know the approximate range of the measured voltage, you should first put the measurement gear in the highest grade, and then change the gear after measuring its value to get a more accurate value. If the voltage value to be measured is far beyond the maximum range that the multimeter can measure, it should be equipped with another high resistance measuring pen.

3. The upper range of DC voltage of most digital multimeters is 1000V, and the upper range of AC voltage is 750V, so the highest value of the measured voltage is below the upper range of the multimeter, and the multimeter will not be damaged in general. If it exceeds the upper range of the multimeter, it is likely to cause damage to the multimeter.

4、Do not measure the voltage in the current file, resistance file, diode file and buzzer file. The meter can not rotate the function conversion switch when testing, especially when high voltage and high current.

5, the use of multimeter resistor to check the component good or bad or in the line to measure the resistance value of components, do not allow the circuit with electricity, because the multimeter resistor is the use of the internal battery of the multimeter work, if the circuit with electricity, it is easy to damage the internal battery of the multimeter, but also affect the accuracy of the measurement, and if the multimeter resistor plus the words of the insurance is also easy to damage the equivalent resistance of the resistor, the battery symbol appears on the screen, when the battery symbol.

6、When the battery symbol appears on the screen, it means that the power is insufficient and the battery should be replaced. At the end of each measurement, the meter should be turned off. Regardless of use or storage, moisture and water are strictly prohibited.

To avoid possible electric shock and personnel injury, please follow the following rules:
1. Do not use a damaged meter. Check the meter case before using the meter and pay attention to the insulation near the connection socket.

2、Check the test meter pens for damaged insulation or bare metal, check the on-off nature of the pens, and replace damaged pens before using the meter.

3、Do not use the meter when the operation appears abnormal, so the protection may have been damaged at that time. When in doubt, send the meter for service.

4、Do not use the meter near explosive gases, vapors or dust.

5、Do not input more than the rated voltage indicated on the meter at any two terminals or between any terminal and earth.

6、Before use, use the meter to measure a known voltage to verify the meter.

7、When measuring current, turn off power to the line before connecting the meter into the line.

8、When servicing the meter, use only labeled replacement parts.

9、Please pay special attention when measuring AC voltages of 30V average, 42V peak, or DC 60V or more, as such voltages can cause shock hazard.

10, when using the test pen, please keep your fingers behind the stopper of the pen.

11、When measuring, please connect the public test pen (black pen) and then connect the energized pen (red pen); when disconnecting, please disconnect the energized pen first and then disconnect the public pen.

12、When opening the battery compartment, please remove all test pens from the meter.

13、Do not use the meter when the battery compartment or meter housing part is not covered tightly or loosely.

1 4, When the battery low voltage approval symbol " " appears, please replace the battery as soon as possible to avoid possible electric shock or personnel injury caused by misreading the number.

15, please do not use the multimeter to measure, the multimeter shown CAT classification level other than the voltage.
