Precautions for using electrochemical sensors in gas detectors

1. Please use within the allowable range of usage specifications:

2. When measuring gas sensitivity, please conduct it in a clean atmosphere;

3. Directly measuring the gas with strong blowing on the ventilation surface of the sensor will result in high sensitivity to the gas. When measuring gas sensitivity, it is necessary to avoid blowing gas from the front;

4. Pins must not be broken or bent;

5. The ventilation surface of the gas should not be blocked or contaminated, and sometimes the blockage of the hole is the reason for low sensitivity;

6. Excessive impact or vibration is not allowed;

7. Do not use if the casing is damaged or damaged;

8. It is slow to recover to the initial state after long-term use in the high concentration gas environment;

9. Sensors should avoid contact with organic solvents, coatings, chemicals, oils, and high concentration gases;

10. Leakage of electrolyte can cause damage, please do not disassemble the sensor without permission;

11. When storing the sensor, the working electrode and reference electrode should be in a short circuit state;

12. It must be aged for no less than 24 hours before use, and soldering is prohibited during installation.

Technical Essentials of Portable Gas Detectors

For many units, gas detection is a very important procedure, and many production processes require the use of potentially toxic gases, as well as some processes that may produce hazardous gas by-products. If equipment maintenance and inspection monitoring can be carried out regularly, this danger can be detected and controlled to the minimum extent as soon as possible

The outstanding feature of a portable gas detector is that it can detect multiple types of gases by replacing the corresponding sensor module. That is, there is no need to purchase a separate host for each type of gas. A detector can be used in combination with different sensors to detect over 30 different gases or vapors, and the sensors can be plug and play without the need for recalibration

The sensor uses a new type of portable sensor module. Each sensor module is a composite device, with a sensor, amplifier and Memory module installed inside. Based on this design, each sensor module can be calibrated and plug and play independently. If it is installed in a host computer, and the corresponding calibration data is input to the microprocessor, no further adjustment is required. When detecting gas in the future, Every sensor replacement does not require recalibration
