Precautions when operating a handheld thickness gauge
1: When the power supply voltage is low, a low voltage symbol is displayed on the left side of the LCD screen. At this time, in order to ensure the normal measurement use of the instrument, please replace the battery in time.
2: When the backlight is not needed, try not to turn on the backlight for a long time to avoid consuming battery power too quickly.
3: The sensor surface is made of acrylic resin and is very sensitive to scratches on rough surfaces, so press it as lightly as possible during use.
4: After the measurement, try to clean the coupling agent on the surface of the sensor and the standard test block as well as the coupling agent on the surface of the measured object as soon as possible.
5: The surface temperature of the object being measured should not exceed 60 degrees to avoid causing the sensor to fail to measure properly.
6: When the instrument is not used for a long time, the battery should be removed to avoid battery leakage and damage to the instrument.
7: Try to avoid oil, moisture, and collision.
8: When plugging or unplugging the sensor, you should hold the movable jacket and apply force along the axis. Do not rotate the sensor head.
To avoid damaging the sensor cable core.
Coupling agent application:
Because the appropriate type should be selected according to the usage situation, when used on smooth material surfaces, low-viscosity coupling agents can be used; when used on rough surfaces, vertical surfaces, and top surfaces, high-viscosity coupling agents should be used. High temperature coupling agent should be used for high temperature workpieces.
Secondly, the coupling agent should be used in an appropriate amount and applied evenly. Generally, the coupling agent should be applied to the surface of the material being measured. However, when the ultrasonic thickness gauge measures a high temperature, the coupling agent should be applied to the probe.
