Principle of non-contact thermometer

Non-contact infrared thermometers (hereinafter referred to as "thermometers") can determine the surface temperature by measuring the infrared energy radiated by the target surface.

The non-contact infrared thermometer adopts ultra-low power consumption and intelligent design. The ultra-low power consumption design ensures that the product can work for a longer time, reducing users' worries about frequent battery replacement and lack of power during work. The intelligent design helps users test more conveniently and capture the true value of the measured object more quickly. At the same time, the instrument can intelligently select battery or USB connection for power supply.

Infrared thermometers can receive invisible infrared energy emitted by a variety of objects themselves. Infrared radiation is part of the electromagnetic spectrum, which includes radio waves, microwaves, visible light, ultraviolet, R-rays and X-rays. Infrared rays are located between visible light and radio waves. Infrared wavelengths are commonly expressed in microns, and the wavelength range is 0.7 microns - 1000 microns. In fact, the 0.7 micron - 14 micron band is used in infrared thermometers.

Non-contact thermometer applications
What are the common applications of non-contact thermometers? Non-contact thermometers have many uses and are most commonly used for:

Predictive and preventive industrial maintenance: Inspect transformers, switchboards, connectors, switchgear, rotating equipment, furnaces and more.

Automotive: Diagnose cylinder heads and heating or cooling systems.

Heating general and air conditioning systems/dampers: Monitor air stratification, supply/return dampers and furnace performance.

Food service and safety: Test storage, serving and storage temperatures.

Process Control and Monitoring: Checking process temperatures in steel, glass, plastics, cement, paper, food and beverage processes.
