Problems and Solutions in the Application of Infrared Thermometer and Guided Wave Radar Level Gauge

1. The solution to the scarring and frequent faults of the guided wave radar level gauge probe
One way is to increase the installation position of the probe, but sometimes the installation conditions are limited and if it cannot be increased, the method of interlocking the measured value of the material level with the pump of the tank should be adopted to solve this problem: set the highest material level The set value is reduced by about 0.5m. When the material level reaches the highest value, the feed pump can be stopped or the discharge pump can be started.

2. Corresponding improvement methods for guided wave radar level gauge radar level gauge being flooded
The solution to this problem is to change the radar level gauge to waveguide measurement. The waveguide type radar level gauge is still installed at the original opening, and the waveguide is about 0.2m higher than the exhaust pipe. The antenna of the potentiometer is submerged in the slurry, and it avoids the interference of the eddy current of the agitator and a large amount of steam coming out of the probe, which reduces the damage to the probe. At the same time, due to the good focusing effect of the waveguide, the received radar wave signal is stronger, achieving good measurement results. Using the waveguide measurement method can improve the measurement conditions of the meter and improve the measurement performance of the meter, which has a high value of promotion and application.

3. The influence of foam on measurement of guided wave radar level gauge:
Dry foam and wet foam can reflect the radar wave back without affecting the measurement; neutral foam will absorb and diffuse the radar wave, thus seriously affecting the reflection of the echo or even no echo. When the surface of the medium is dense and thick foam, the measurement error is large or cannot be measured. In this case, the radar level gauge has no advantages, which is the limitation of its application.

4. The treatment of the antenna scarring of the guided wave radar level gauge:
The coating with a small dielectric constant has no effect on the measurement in a dry state, while the coating with a high dielectric constant has an impact on the measurement. It can be blown with compressed air (or flushed with clean water), and the cooled compressed air can reduce the temperature of flanges and electrical components. Alkaline scabs can also be cleaned with acidic cleaning solutions, but level measurement is not possible during cleaning
