Research on Loss and Energy Saving of AC Stabilized Power Supply

As an important link in the AC power supply system, the AC regulated power supply has been more and more widely used. It can not only stabilize the voltage and improve the quality of power supply, but also has the functions of effectively protecting the load, prolonging the service life of the equipment, and assisting the user in managing the power supply. However, the loss of the regulated power supply itself has also attracted people's attention. How to combine voltage stabilization and energy saving is an important research topic for power workers.

Loss Analysis of AC Stabilized Power Supply

As a power distribution device, the AC regulated power supply has its own loss problem in the working process. Due to different voltage regulation principles and different qualities of regulated power supplies from different manufacturers, this loss varies greatly, among which the loss of the self-coupling voltage-regulating regulated power supply is relatively small. Now a preliminary analysis is made on the loss of the self-coupling voltage-regulating regulated power supply in actual work.

In many places where regulated power supplies are installed, regulated power supplies are often used as power supply equipment for partial loads, making them work 24 hours a day. However, the average working time of most loads is about 5h to 8h per day, and the rest of the 16h to 19h regulated power supply is in a no-load state, so the power supply has long-term no-load loss. On the other hand, when the regulated power supply is working with load, as the total load of the grid changes, the grid voltage will also vary in different periods of time. There must be a period of time when the grid voltage meets the power requirements of the equipment (generally 220V ± 10%), while the regulated power supply is still working, which is also an unnecessary loss and causes energy waste. This situation is reflected differently in different regions and different time periods. It is assumed that half of the 5h to 8h of load operation is that the grid voltage meets the load rated operating voltage requirements. According to this assumption, combined with the mechanical industry standard ZBK4200287 contact automatic voltage regulator rated performance data, the loss of the auto voltage regulator is estimated.
