Routine Pre-operation Inspection of Large Tool Microscope

All instruments undergo strict inspection and calibration during every production stage and before factory delivery. However, factors such as transportation vibration, temperature changes and environmental variations may alter the instrument performance. Therefore, necessary inspection and calibration must be carried out again before use.

Main Inspection Items:

Before installation and operation, inspect the surrounding environmental safety. Check that the power supply, voltage, light source lamp and grounding wire are correctly and firmly connected and fully comply with relevant requirements.

Inspection of moving performance for major components: Visually examine and manually test the stage, longitudinal and transverse slide guides, micrometers, lifting mechanism of the microscope arm along the column guide rail, and the rotating angle dial. Confirm reliable assembly, accurate positioning and smooth operation of all parts. There shall be no looseness, jamming or sudden jumping during movement.

Inspection of the angle measuring eyepiecea. Zero position inspection: When the angle measuring microscope is set to zero, the horizontal line on the reticle of the angle measuring eyepiece shall be parallel to the moving direction of the X-axis slide, with a deviation no greater than 6 arcminutes.Inspection method: Place a knife-edge square on the instrument stage. Raise and lower the microscope until a clear knife-edge image appears in the field of view. Adjust the stage to align the long knife edge parallel to the travel direction of the X-axis slide. Rotate the cross reticle to make its horizontal line coincide with the knife-edge image. Check whether the angle dial reading is zero and record the deviation, which shall not exceed 6 arcminutes.

b. Concentricity inspection between the cross intersection and the rotation center of the angle measuring eyepiece.Inspection method: Place a cross reticle on the stage. Focus clearly so that the reticle image overlaps the internal eyepiece reticle, and align both horizontal lines in parallel. Move the longitudinal and transverse slides to fully overlap the two cross centers. Rotate the eyepiece reticle to any position and observe alignment; no obvious deviation is allowed.

Inspection of perpendicularity between the microscope arm along the column guide rail and the stage surface
