Scope of application of noise meters
A noise meter, also known as a decibel meter or sound level meter, is a commonly used noise measurement instrument.
Applicable scope
Due to the fact that noise meters are mainly used for environmental noise, they are suitable for noise detection and census in factories, offices, transportation roads, airports, sound systems, homes, breeding farms, and other places.
The noise meter can be used for noise monitoring in household appliances, home audio, film and television sound testing, residential community environmental noise, noise testing in college laboratories, enterprise factories, and urban environmental protection.
With the development of modern industry, environmental pollution has also emerged. Noise pollution is a type of environmental pollution that has become a major threat to humanity. Traffic noise, construction noise, industrial noise, etc., affect people's normal learning, life, and rest. Although the noise emitted by household appliances, audio equipment, etc. is not high, it is closely related to people's daily life and makes it difficult for them to feel quiet during rest, which is particularly troublesome and can easily cause neighborhood disputes.
The standards of various countries and regions are not completely consistent. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) stipulated in the environmental noise allowable standard proposed in 1971 that the allowable sound level of indoor environmental noise in residential areas is 35-45dB.
