Simple User Manual & Operation Steps of Multimeters

① Voltages below 36 V are safe voltages. When measuring DC voltages above 36 V and AC voltages above 25 V, check whether the test probes make reliable contact, are correctly connected, and have good insulation to avoid electric shock.

② When switching functions and ranges, remove the test probes from the test point. Select the correct function and range before testing to prevent misoperation.

③ DC Voltage Measurement: Turn the range switch to the corresponding DCV range, then connect the test probes across the circuit under test. The voltage and polarity of the point connected by the red probe will be displayed on the screen.

④ AC Voltage Measurement: Turn the range switch to the corresponding ACV range, then connect the test probes across the circuit under test.

⑤ DC Current Measurement: Turn the range switch to the corresponding DCA range, then connect the meter in series into the circuit under test.

⑥ AC Current Measurement: Turn the range switch to the corresponding ACA range, then connect the meter in series into the circuit under test.

⑦ Resistance Measurement: Turn the range switch to the corresponding resistance range, and connect the two probes across the resistor under test.

⑧ Capacitance Measurement: Turn the range switch to the corresponding capacitance range, connect the test probes across the two terminals of the capacitor under test; pay attention to polarity when necessary.

⑨ Diode and Continuity Test: Set the range switch to the corresponding gear. Connect the red probe to the anode of the diode and the black probe to the cathode. For circuit continuity testing, connect the probes to both ends of the circuit to be tested. If the buzzer sounds, the circuit is conductive; otherwise, the circuit is open.

⑩ Transistor Gain Measurement: Set the range switch to the hFE gear. Confirm whether the transistor to be tested is NPN or PNP type, then insert the emitter, base and collector into the corresponding jacks respectively.

Digital multimeters can measure DC and AC voltage, DC and AC current, resistance, capacitance, inductance, frequency, battery voltage, diodes, transistor hFE and continuity. It has an auto-power-off function. The whole circuit is built around a large-scale integrated dual-slope integrating A/D converter, equipped with full-range overload protection circuits. It is a high-performance instrument, essential for laboratories, factories, schools and electronics enthusiasts.
