Soldering Iron Soldering Precautions

Precautions for electric soldering iron:
1. Before using the soldering iron, check whether the voltage used is consistent with the nominal voltage of the soldering iron;

2. The soldering iron should be grounded;

3. After the electric soldering iron is energized, it is not allowed to knock, disassemble and install its electric heating parts arbitrarily;

4. The electric soldering iron should be kept dry and should not be used in excessively humid or rainy environments;

5. When removing the soldering iron tip, turn off the power;

6. After turning off the power, use the residual heat to put a layer of tin on the tip of the soldering iron to protect the tip of the soldering iron;

7. When there is a black oxide layer on the tip of the soldering iron, it can be wiped off with emery cloth, then powered on, and tinned immediately;

8. The sponge is used to collect tin slag and tin beads. It is suitable to pinch it with your hands just to get out of water.

Soldering problems
1. Solder balls are formed, and the tin cannot spread to the entire pad? The temperature of the soldering iron is too low, or the tip of the soldering iron is too small; the pad is oxidized.

2. Tin cusps form when you remove the soldering iron? The soldering iron is not hot enough, the flux is not melted, and it will not work. If the temperature of the soldering iron tip is too high, the flux will evaporate. Soldering time is too long.

3. Tin surface is not smooth, wrinkled? The soldering iron temperature is too high and the soldering time is too long.

4. Does the rosin spread over a large area? The tip of the soldering iron is held too flat.

5. Less tin? Add tin too little.

6. Tin beads? The tin wire is added directly from the tip of the soldering iron. Too much tin added. The tip of the soldering iron is oxidized. Hit the soldering iron.

7. PCB separation layer? The temperature of the soldering iron is too high, and the tip of the soldering iron hits the board.

8. Black rosin? Temperature is too high

Rosin cleaning precautions
1. Tools: brush, white cloth, washing machine water;

2. First wash the brush with washing machine water, and then use the brush to wash the tin spot with a white cloth;

3. Be careful not to use too much washing machine water, and do not flow to other locations, especially sockets, plugs and switches
