Standards and principles for selecting toxic and noxious gas detectors
The core part of a toxic gas detector is the sensor. The sensor of the toxic gas detector is an electrochemical sensor. The lifespan of electrochemical sensors in air is generally two years. Some models from individual manufacturers can last for three years or even longer, Some have only one and a half years or less of time. Unless otherwise specified, the service life of imported electrochemical sensors is two years.
Toxic gas detector is a special type of safety gas environmental hygiene detector used to detect the toxic gas content in the air of chemical workplaces or equipment, and to alarm when the limit value is exceeded. Dangerous chemicals need to strengthen safety management, improve safety measures, and control accident hazards. However, it is impossible to achieve absolute safety, and errors can still occur. Therefore, it is very necessary to detect and alarm the hidden dangers of accidents, and to detect and alarm all toxic gases or liquids (vapors) in the hazardous chemical industry. It is of great significance for avoiding and controlling accidents.
Toxic and harmful gas detector is a special safety and health detector used to detect the content of flammable or toxic gases and vapors in the air of chemical workplaces or equipment, and to alarm when the limit value is exceeded.
Principles for selecting toxic and harmful gas detectors:
1. Clearly define the testing purpose and select the instrument category. The detection of harmful gases generally has two purposes. The first one is to detect explosions, and the second one is to detect toxic gases. The so-called explosion test is to detect the combustible gas content in hazardous areas, and alarm when it exceeds the standard to avoid explosion accidents; Toxic testing is the process of detecting the content of toxic gases in hazardous areas, and issuing an alarm when exceeding the limit to prevent poisoning by workers.
2. Clearly define the testing purpose and select the instrument type. If leakage detection is carried out for a long time in the production or storage location, a fixed detection alarm should be used; Other maintenance inspections, emergency inspections, entry inspections, and patrol inspections shall be carried out using portable instruments.
3. Identify the testing object and select the best instrument model. It should be noted that the detection principle of the instrument should adapt to the requirements of the detection environment. (There are issues with adapting to the testing and detection environment)
