Stereo Microscope Usage and Adjustment
Instructions:
(1) After installing the microscope, plug in the power plug, turn on the power switch, and select the lighting mode after ensuring that the power supply voltage is consistent with the rated voltage of the microscope;
(2) According to the specimens to be observed, select the platen (when observing transparent specimens, choose a frosted glass platen; observe opaque specimens, choose a black and white platen), put it into the hole of the base platen, and lock it;
(3) Loosen the fastening screw on the focusing slide, adjust the height of the mirror body, and visually check that the working distance is about 80mm, (to make it roughly the same working distance as the magnification of the selected objective lens), and then lock it Bracket, close the safety ring to the focusing bracket and lock it;
(4) After installing the eyepiece, first loosen the screw on the eyepiece tube, and then tighten the screw after installing the eyepiece (when the eyepiece is put into the eyepiece tube, be careful not to touch the surface of the lens);
(5) Adjust the interpupillary distance. When the user observes a circular field of view through the two eyepieces, the two prism boxes should be moved to change the exit pupil distance of the eyepiece tube so that a circular field of view can be observed. Completely overlapping circular field of view (indicating that the interpupillary distance has been adjusted);
(6) Observe the specimen (focus on the specimen). First adjust the dioptric ring on the left eyepiece tube to the position of the 0 reticle. Usually, first observe from the right eyepiece tube (that is, the fixed eyepiece tube), turn the zoom tube (for models with a zoom device) to the highest magnification position, and turn the focusing handwheel to focus on the specimen until the specimen's After the image is clear, turn the zoom tube to the lowest magnification position. At this time, use the left eyepiece tube to observe. If it is not clear, adjust the diopter ring on the eyepiece tube along the axial direction until the image of the specimen is clear, and then binocular Observe its focusing effect;
(7) When the observation is over, turn off the power, remove the specimen, and cover the microscope tightly with a dust cover
build.
tuning
The adjustment of the stereo microscope before use mainly includes several steps: focusing, diopter adjustment, interpupillary distance adjustment and bulb replacement.
1. Focusing:
Place the tabletop into the tabletop mounting holes on the base. When observing transparent specimens, use a frosted glass platform; when observing opaque specimens, use a black and white platform. Then loosen the fastening screw on the focusing slide, and adjust the height of the mirror body to make it roughly the same working distance as the magnification of the selected objective lens. After adjustment, the fastening screws must be tightened. When adjusting the focus, it is recommended to use a flat object, such as a flat paper with printed characters, a ruler, a set square, etc.
2. Diopter adjustment:
First adjust the diopter rings on the left and right eyepiece tubes to the 0 reticles. Normally, look through the right eyepiece tube first. Turn the zoom handwheel to the lowest magnification position, turn the focusing handwheel and the diopter adjustment ring to adjust the specimen until the image of the specimen is clear, then turn the zoom handwheel to the highest magnification position and continue to adjust until the image of the specimen is clear At this time, observe with the left eyepiece tube, if it is not clear, adjust the diopter ring on the left eyepiece tube along the axial direction until the image of the specimen is clear.
3. Interpupillary distance adjustment:
Turn the two eyepiece tubes to change the exit pupil distance of the two eyepiece tubes. When the user observes that the two circular fields of view completely overlap, it means that the interpupillary distance has been adjusted. It should be noted that due to the differences in individual vision and eye adjustment, when different users or even the same user uses the same microscope at different times, they should perform parfocal adjustments separately in order to obtain the best observation effect.
4. Bulb replacement:
Whether you are replacing the upper light bulb or the lower light bulb, be sure to turn off the power switch and unplug the power cord from the power outlet before replacement. When replacing the light bulb of the upper light source, first unscrew the knurled screw of the light box of the upper light source, take off the light box, then unload the bad bulb from the lamp holder, replace a good bulb, and then install the light box and the knurled screw. When replacing the light source bulb, it is necessary to take the frosted glass platen or black and white platen out of the base, then remove the bad bulb from the lamp holder and replace it with a good one; then install the frosted glass platen or black and white platen. . When replacing the bulb, please wipe the glass bulb of the bulb with a clean soft cloth or cotton gauze to ensure the lighting effect.
