The advantages of the new thermometer compared with the traditional thermometer

 

A new type of thermometer was applied to the on-site intermediate frequency melting furnace for trial use. The temperature measurement range was 600-1800°C. The thermometer was fixedly installed on the intermediate frequency melting furnace in April. After nearly 2 months of comparative tests of 50 furnaces, the test results can meet the temperature measurement requirements before the furnace.


The advantages of the new thermometer compared with the traditional thermometer:


1. Significant savings in production costs.


To use is to save. The thermometer has basically no consumption cost during use, and compared with the use of thermocouples, it saves at least 15,000 yuan per furnace per year.


2. Compared with platinum-rhodium thermocouple and portable infrared thermometer, the new thermometer is easy to operate, accurate in measurement and good in repeatability.

1. It prevents pouring at too high a temperature, ensures that the surface layer of the mold shell does not burn, overcomes the phenomenon of burrs, cast nodules, and iron beans on the surface of the casting, and reduces the amount of grinding.


2. Due to the deoxidation, the slag breaking to pouring is operated strictly according to the process temperature, and the slag inclusion and pores of the casting are prevented.


3. Due to the timely control of the temperature of the metal liquid, the previous lower temperature pouring phenomenon is overcome, and the undercasting and cold shut of the casting are overcome.


4. Realize the whole temperature monitoring of the melting production process.


1. The use of the new type of thermometer completely replaces various traditional temperature measuring devices, overcomes their shortcomings, and achieves the ideal temperature measurement effect.


2. The melting process of casting is relatively stable, that is to say, the temperature field of metal from melting → deoxidation → slag removal → pouring is controlled to achieve a stable melting and casting process effect.


3. The operator operates according to the temperature measurement data of the display instrument. It overcomes the phenomenon that the operator used to read with eyes due to the weather and human emotions, which caused large errors.
