The difference between digital microscope and ordinary microscope

Digital microscope is also called digital microscope, photographic microscope, photographic microscope/video microscope or CCD microscope and many other names. A digital microscope is a microscope that combines a traditional optical microscope and a video lens, that is, a microscopic imaging device is added to an ordinary optical microscope, which can be a digital camera or a microscopic camera. It converts the physical image seen by the microscope through digital-to-analog conversion, and makes it image on the computer. Digital microscope is a high-tech product successfully developed by combining sophisticated optical microscope technology, advanced photoelectric conversion technology and ordinary TV. Therefore, we can change the research on the microscopic field from the traditional ordinary binocular observation to the reproduction on the display, thereby improving the work efficiency. Mainly used for teaching purposes.

The main advantage of the digital microscope is that the traditional optical microscope can only be used by one person, it is difficult to share the images of the microscope, and it often requires the help of special equipment to capture the images inside the microscope. However, since the digital microscope can be connected to a computer, the video in the microscope can be played through the projector connected to the classroom, so that students in the classroom can watch the video together, which is also helpful for the management of classroom order.
Digital microscopes can reduce eye fatigue, take pictures of the observed scenes and save them. And it can meet the needs of multiple people to preview at the same time at low cost. It can also realize multi-functions such as measuring, printing, and taking pictures.

There are six major differences between digital microscopes and ordinary microscopes:
1. With the function of microscopic photography, the observed microscopic effects are saved and formed into graphic files, which can be circulated to relevant departments; ordinary microscopes can only be observed through the eyepiece, and cannot be used for microscopic photography.

2. Connected with the computer, multiple people can observe at the same time; ordinary microscopes can only be observed by one person.

3. Previewing through the computer screen can reduce eye fatigue; ordinary microscopes need to observe through the eyepiece all the time, which is easy to cause excessive eye fatigue.

4. The imaging device of the digital microscope can have functions such as measurement, printing of graphic reports, and video recording; ordinary microscopes can only perform microscopic observation.

5. Digital microscope is a new era in the development of modern scientific instruments and meters, and has many functions that ordinary microscopes do not have. It has developed rapidly in scientific research, product testing, teaching demonstration, archaeology, etc.
