The difference between gas detector verification, calibration, calibration and verification

Gas detectors help factories solve gas safety problems during industrial production. But it is also a precision instrument, which needs to be understood and used correctly to play its due role. But in fact, when we use the gas detector, we will go into some misunderstandings, such as thinking that verification, calibration, calibration, and calibration are the same. In fact, this is a wrong understanding. What are the differences?

The difference between verification, calibration, calibration and verification of gas detectors:

1. Calibration
The operation of improving the accuracy (precision) of an instrument or system by compensating for instrumental system errors by measuring the deviation of a standard. Calibration is generally used for higher precision instruments.

2. Verification
According to the national metrology verification regulations, it is an activity to determine whether the indication error of measuring instruments meets the requirements through experiments. The scope of verification is the mandatory verification of measuring instruments clearly stipulated in the metrology law of our country.

3. Calibration
The activity of determining the indicated value of a measuring instrument through experiments in accordance with relevant calibration specifications. Usually, the error of the measured instrument relative to the standard is measured by comparing with the standard with high precision, so as to obtain the correction value of the indicated value of the measured instrument. Calibration is mainly used for non-mandatory verification of measuring instruments.

4. Verify
In the absence of relevant verification regulations or calibration specifications, it is a way to implement the transfer and traceability of the value according to the method compiled by the organization itself. It is mainly used for measuring instruments, or measuring instruments with relatively low accuracy.

The main difference between calibration, verification, calibration and verification of gas detectors:

Calibration is a dynamic process of rechecking the accuracy of the test equipment and eliminating errors in time during measurement.

Secondly, verification, calibration and verification are static measurement processes carried out on a periodic basis.

The general use selection method of calibration, verification and calibration:

1. It belongs to the national compulsory inspection catalog and is submitted for inspection;

2. Those who are not in the national compulsory verification catalog but have JJG or JJF, shall submit for inspection/calibration, or the enterprise has standard equipment, appliances and calibration methods, and can perform self-calibration;

3. If there is no JJG and JJF, self-check.
