The difference between UV illuminance meter and illuminance meter
Both the UV illuminance meter and the illuminance meter are instruments for measuring the intensity of light, but the UV illuminance meter measures the intensity of ultraviolet rays, while the lux meter measures the intensity of visible light. It seems that the name is similar, but the function is very different.
UV illuminance meter is also called ultraviolet radiation meter, and the main units are mW/cm2 or uW/cm2. According to the band of ultraviolet rays, it can be divided into UVA, UVB, UVC, etc., and ultraviolet rays of different bands are used in different occasions. For example, ultraviolet rays in the UVC band are mainly used for sterilization, ultraviolet rays in the UVB band are used for skin disease treatment, and ultraviolet rays in the UVA band are used for curing. Therefore, when choosing a UV illuminance meter, it should also be selected according to the wavelength band of the light source.
The illuminance meter is an instrument used to measure luminosity and brightness. The unit is Lux. It is mainly used in public places lighting illuminance detection, lighting production industry, photography industry, stage lighting layout and other places.
