The importance of gas detection!

 

The importance of gas detectors, which are instruments used to detect changes in the concentration of harmful gases in the work site. During the production process, factories not only need pure industrial gases as raw materials, but also produce various highly pure derivative gases that often pose certain hazards. Therefore, various high sensitivity, high accuracy, and high selectivity gas detection instruments are needed for monitoring to prevent industrial gas raw material leakage or excessive derivative gases, and to monitor at all times and reduce hidden dangers.


Gas detection plays a very important role in industrial production, which is crucial for preventing accidents and ensuring the smooth progress of enterprise safety production. It is also a guarantee for the safety of production personnel and surrounding residents. Many accidents are often caused by inadequate gas regulation, which can be avoided but ultimately become accidents, which is truly heartbreaking. And we also hope that the majority of production enterprises can take this as a warning and improve gas detection and supervision.


The detector measures the air, and once the test passes, the detector enters a continuous monitoring state. The airflow passes through the panel grid and reaches the sensor, which responds to the measured gas concentration. The diffusion type only monitors the gas that surrounds the detector in an instant. The pump suction type can be used for further measurements through a sampling tube. If harmful gases are found, the detector will sound an alarm on its own.


When detecting toxic gases, a toxic gas alarm is used. As is well known, gas detectors play a crucial role in detecting the concentration of the entire gas alarm. The detector contains a gas sensor inside, which is also a very important component. When detecting toxic gases, electrochemical sensors are used, and their service life is generally about one and a half to two years.


Electrochemical sensors work by reacting with the measured gas and generating an electrical signal proportional to the gas concentration. A typical electrochemical sensor consists of a sensing electrode (or working electrode) and a counter electrode, separated by a thin electrolytic layer.


Usually, each sensor corresponds to a specific detection gas, but no gas detector is absolutely effective. Therefore, when selecting a gas sensor, it is important to be clear about the detection interference of other gases on the sensor to ensure its accuracy in detecting specific gases.


Each gas detector has its fixed gas concentration measurement range, and accurate measurement can only be ensured by completing the measurement within its measurement range. Measuring beyond the measurement range for a long time can easily cause permanent damage to the sensor.
