The necessity of a gas detector!

The importance of gas detectors, gas detectors are instruments used to detect changes in the concentration of harmful gases in the job site. In the process of production, the factory not only needs to have pure industrial gases as raw materials, but also produces a variety of highly pure derivative gases in the production process. These gases often have certain hazards, so there must be various high-sensitivity, high Accurate and highly selective gas detection instruments are used for monitoring to prevent leakage of industrial gas raw materials or derivative gases exceeding the standard, and monitor at all times to reduce hidden dangers.

Gas detection plays a very important role in the production of industrial enterprises. It is the key to prevent accidents and ensure the smooth progress of safe production in enterprises, and it is the guarantee for the safety of production personnel and surrounding people. Many accidents are often caused by inadequate supervision of gas, which can be avoided, but eventually become accidents, which is really distressing. And we also hope that the majority of production companies can take this as a warning to improve gas detection supervision.

The detector measures the air. Once the test is passed, the detector enters the continuous monitoring state. The airflow passes through the panel grid to the sensor, and the sensor responds to the measured gas concentration. The diffusion type only monitors the gas surrounding the detector for a moment, and the pump suction The remote measurement can be carried out through the sampling tube. If harmful gas is found, the detector will alarm by itself.

When detecting toxic gases, toxic gas alarms are used. As we all know, gas detectors play a vital role in the concentration detection of the entire gas alarm. The gas sensor inside the detector is also a very important component. When detecting toxic gases, electrochemical sensors are used, and the service life is generally about one and a half to two years.

Electrochemical sensors work by reacting with the measured gas and generating an electrical signal proportional to the gas concentration. A typical electrochemical sensor consists of a sensing electrode (or working electrode) and a counter electrode separated by a thin electrolytic layer.

Usually, each sensor corresponds to a specific detection gas, but any gas detector is not absolutely special. Therefore, when choosing a gas sensor, it should be clear that other gases interfere with the detection of the sensor to ensure its accuracy for specific gas detection.

Each gas detector has its fixed gas concentration measurement range. Only when the measurement is completed within its measurement range can it be accurately measured. However, measuring beyond the measurement range for a long time can easily cause permanent damage to the sensor.
