The principle and usage of a level gauge

The level tube of a level gauge is made of glass, and the inner wall of the level tube is a curved surface with a certain radius of curvature. The tube contains liquid, and when the level gauge emits

When tilted, the bubbles in the level tube move towards the end where the level gauge rises, thereby determining the position of the horizontal plane. The larger the curvature radius of the inner wall of the leveling tube, the higher the resolution. The smaller the curvature radius, the lower the resolution. Therefore, the curvature radius of the leveling tube determines the accuracy of the level. The level gauge is mainly used to check the flatness, straightness, perpendicularity, and horizontal position of various machine tools and workpieces, as well as the installation of equipment. Especially when measuring verticality, the magnetic level can be attached to the vertical working surface without manual support, reducing labor intensity and avoiding measurement errors caused by human body heat radiation.

A rectangular structure with a length of 200mm on both the bottom and side of the level, with an accuracy of (0.02-0.025) mm/m. If users have special requirements, they can be customized separately. The zero adjustment structure of the level has unique features compared to conventional structures: 1. It is easy to zero. 2. After adjustment, the zero position is not easily changed. As shown in Figure 1. When the V-shaped groove surface at the bottom of the level rotates 5 times around the core shaft, if the bubbles move, the requirements can be met by adjusting screw 2. This item has been adjusted at the factory and generally remains unchanged.

The structure of the level varies depending on the classification. A frame level is generally composed of components such as the main body of the level, horizontal level, insulated handle, main level, cover plate, and zero adjustment device. A ruler level is generally composed of components such as the main body of the level, cover plate, main level, and zero adjustment device.

A level gauge is a measuring tool that uses a level as a measuring and reading element. The level is a sealed glass tube, with a longitudinal section of the inner surface being an arc surface with a certain radius of curvature. The glass tube of the level contains liquids with lower viscosity coefficients, such as alcohol, ether, and their mixtures. The part without liquid is usually called a level bubble. There is a certain relationship between the curvature radius of the longitudinal section on the inner surface of the glass tube and the graduation value, and based on this relationship, the inclination of the measured plane can be measured.

How to use the level:

The scale value of the level is expressed in terms of angle (seconds) or slope, which means the angle at which the bubble deviates from the working surface by one grid or the height at which the bubble deviates from the working surface by one meter. Due to the small inclination angle of the level used, for example tg 4 4 radian=0.02mm/1000mm, when measuring, make the working surface of the level closely adhere to the measured surface, and wait for the bubbles to stabilize before reading. If the actual inclination value with a length of L needs to be measured, it can be calculated using the following equation.

Actual inclination value=nominal graduation value L deviation grid number; For example, if the nominal graduation value is 0.02mm/m, L=200mm, and the number of deviation grids is 2, then

Actual inclination value=0.02/1000 200 2=0.008mm. To avoid measurement errors caused by inaccurate zero position of the level, it is necessary to check or adjust the zero position of the level before use.
