The role of PH meter in monitoring the pH of paper is briefly described.
PH meter and conductivity meter can often be used in printing industry, and the printing cost can be reduced through reasonable application. Therefore, printing enterprises actively use PH meter and conductivity meter to reasonably control the pH value of paper and fountain solution before printing. It can not only improve the printing quality, but also reduce consumables and costs.
The balance of ink and ink, the drying performance of ink and the quality of ink layer are very important in the printing process, so it is necessary to monitor the acidity and alkalinity of paper by using industrial PH meter, so as to avoid the low pH value of paper and inhibit the oxidative polymerization reaction and drying speed of ink. The printing industry uses PH meter to control the acidity and alkalinity of paper as much as possible and improve the printing quality.
If the paper is too alkaline, what * * effects will it have? The alkalinity of paper is too large, or the acidity of fountain solution changes, thus weakening the acidity of hydrophilic adhesive layer in the non-graphic part of printing plate. The decrease of hydrophilicity of non-graphic parts will lead to ink imbalance, ink coloring power decline, dim color of printed graphics and text, flower version, paste version and so on. It can be seen that controlling the PH of paper is of great significance in the printing industry, and PH meter has become a good helper.
In addition to using PH meter to monitor the PH of paper, pH meter and conductivity meter should also be used to detect and control the relevant parameters of fountain solution. Too strong acidity of fountain solution will cause the blank part of printing plate to be corroded and damaged, and the printing plate will be dirty, while too strong alkalinity will lead to corrosion of ink and paper. Therefore, it is necessary to control the acidity and alkalinity of fountain solution, especially pay attention to the pH value of buffer in fountain solution. In addition, the hardness and temperature of water should be controlled to avoid water affecting the PH value of fountain solution. The conductivity of fountain solution will also have a great influence on pH value.
