The soldering iron's tip's design
1. Commonly used direct-heating electric soldering irons are mostly chisel-shaped, similar to the chisel style used by fitters. According to the requirements of the surface of the object to be welded, the angle of the chisel-type soldering iron tip is 45° and 10-25°, and the width is also different. When soldering products with high assembly density, in order to avoid scalding the surrounding components and wires, and to facilitate access to deep solder joints, an extended chisel tip can be used.
Among the above-mentioned chisel-type soldering iron tips, the heat at a large angle is relatively concentrated, and the temperature drops slowly, which is suitable for soldering general solder joints; the temperature at a small angle drops quickly, and is suitable for soldering components that are sensitive to temperature.
2. The tapered soldering iron head is suitable for soldering small solder joints of small electronic devices.
3. Internally heated electric soldering irons often use round beveled soldering iron heads, which are suitable for soldering printed circuit boards and general solder joints.
4. When using an internal heating electric soldering iron to solder printed circuit boards, you can use notched soldering iron tips and hollow core soldering iron tips. The use of these two types of soldering iron tips can make soldering more convenient, but the trimming of these two types of soldering iron tips is more troublesome.
