The third category is inverter-type regulated power supply
The inverter-type regulated power supply is also known as variable frequency power supply. This device is controlled by a 16-bit Motorola processor and designed with high-frequency PWM technology, driven by original imported Mitsubishi IGBT modules, achieving an efficiency of over 85%. It features rapid response with a voltage regulation response time within 2 milliseconds under full load and no-load conditions. It boasts strong overload capacity and can withstand instantaneous current up to 300% of the rated current. With pure waveform and highly stable frequency, it produces no electromagnetic interference such as EMI and EMC. It is an ideal power source for R&D laboratories and metrology rooms, as well as a standard power supply for EM, EMC and safety compliance tests.
The fourth category is switching regulated power supply.
Figure 1 shows the schematic diagram and equivalent block diagram of the switching regulated power supply. It consists of a full-wave rectifier, switching tube V, drive signals, freewheeling diode, energy storage inductor and filter capacitor C. Essentially, the core of a switching regulated power supply is a DC transformer.
Another type is the numerical control regulated power supply. It samples voltage signals at the equipment output terminal, and compares the actual output voltage with the rated voltage. If the detected voltage is lower than the standard value, signals will be transmitted to the central processing unit (CPU), which issues commands to raise the output voltage. Meanwhile, the detection module monitors the on-off state of semiconductors. After confirmation, the CPU controls the semiconductor components to adjust voltage to reach the rated value. If the actual voltage exceeds the standard, the CPU will send commands to lower the voltage. The whole fully digital adjustment process takes only 0.048 seconds.
