What are the types of pH meters?
According to the application, the pH meter can be divided into pen type pH meter, portable pH meter, laboratory pH meter and industrial pH meter.

The pH meter is widely used to test the pH of purified water, tap water, domestic water and various liquids. A pH of 7.0 is neutral, below 7.0 is acidic, and above 7.0 is alkaline.

How to use the pH meter

When purchasing a pH meter in the laboratory, there are three factors that need to be considered: first, consider the application of the pH meter, second, consider the accuracy and function required for measurement, and finally consider the quality and brand.


Depending on the application, choose whether you need a pen pH meter, a portable pH meter, a laboratory pH meter or an industrial pH meter. For example, benchtop pH meters are commonly used in laboratories, while industrial pH meters are required in fields such as wastewater treatment, electroplating, and chemical industry.


According to the measurement requirements, choose different accuracy levels. The accuracy of the pH meter is divided into 0.2, 0.1, 0.05, and 0.01. The smaller the number, the higher the accuracy.


According to the measurement needs, see if you need the functions attached to the pH meter, such as temperature compensation function (automatic/manual), whether there is an RS232 interface, whether the reading is pointer or digital display, etc.
