Three Safety Measures for the Use of a Universal Tool Microscope

1. Pay attention to the focusing sequence of the eyepiece and objective lens
Many people use the objective lens to focus at the beginning of the measurement. After adjusting the focal length of the object, they use the "meter" line in the eyepiece to perform alignment measurement. If the "meter" line is not clear enough, they will focus on the eyepiece . In fact, this order is wrong, because it will cause a certain ghost image in the image of the object under test after being focused in front. The correct way is to clear the "meter" line in the eyepiece first, and then focus on the object, so as to ensure that the image of the "meter" line and the object is clear.

2. Pay attention to remove the burrs and scratches on the surface of the tested part before measurement
There may be some burrs and scratches on the tested part during processing, use and transportation. These defects are not easy to be noticed, but they are easy to cause alignment errors of the universal tool microscope or cause the measurement surface to be not on the same focal plane. Certain local ghosts will affect the accuracy of the measurement results, so these surface burrs and scratches must be completely removed.

3. Pay attention to the correct installation of the DUT
There are generally two ways to install the test piece on the universal tool microscope: (1) Placement of the planar test piece. For planar parts, it is important to note that the tested surface of the tested part should be on the same focal plane, otherwise it is easy to form a partial ghost. For parts with chamfered parts on the tested surface, it is best to make the chamfer face down, otherwise it is easy to cause focusing Unclear, resulting in inaccurate measurement. (2) Installation of the shaft test piece. Shaft test pieces generally rely on the center hole for positioning. Before installation, the hole must be cleaned, especially to remove the sand and burrs. large measurement error. This kind of situation is often encountered in daily measurement. The best way is to check the runout error of the outer diameter of the measured shaft with the horizontal line of the "meter" character line in the reticle of the instrument after installation, so as to judge the whether the software is installed correctly.
