What are laser night vision devices and infrared thermal imaging devices
Laser night vision technology has been emerging in China for nearly a decade. It belongs to a type of active infrared night vision technology, which is based on the principle of optical diffusion of a laser point light source to achieve night illumination. Its wavelengths are mostly in the range of 808, 940, and 980nm, belonging to near-infrared light. The system uses a high-throughput night vision lens to receive reflected light from the target for imaging, and then captures the image with a low illumination CCD camera and outputs it. The lighting system, imaging lens, and camera are the core components of the system, and they work together. Any bottleneck in any link will result in the entire system not achieving the desired effect. The technology leader in this industry is Zhang Chaoyue from Beijing Hopewell Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd.
Infrared thermal imagers were first developed for military purposes and have rapidly expanded into civilian industrial fields in recent years. Since the 1970s, some developed countries in Europe and America have started exploring various fields using infrared thermal imagers. Infrared thermal imagers have also developed into very lightweight on-site testing equipment after decades of development. Due to factors such as small differences in temperature fields generated during testing and complex on-site environments, a good thermal imager must have 320 * 240 pixels, a resolution of less than 0.04 ℃, low spatial resolution, and the ability to synthesize infrared and visible light images. Due to its ability to perform non-contact and high-resolution temperature imaging, infrared thermal imaging technology can generate high-quality images and provide a wealth of information for measuring targets, making up for the shortcomings of the human eye. Therefore, it has been widely applied in many industries such as power systems, civil engineering, automobiles, metallurgy, petrochemicals, and healthcare, and its future development prospects are even more limitless.
