What are the key aspects of microscopic image formation?

Microscopy The formation of an image is the image generated between the image and the intermediate image plane through direct light in an optical microscope, through the occurrence of functionally unchanged and diffracted light in the specimen.

The image produced by the objective is conjugate in the specimen, which means that each image point is related to the corresponding point in the specimen in terms of the geometry of the intermediate plane.

Optical aberration is the deviation from Gaussian optics under ideal conditions. The optical train of a microscope typically suffers from five common distortions: they include sphericity, chromaticity, field curvature, and astigmatism. Geometric distortion is found in stereomicroscopes and is a problem often encountered in zoom lens systems.

The length of the optical microscope mechanical tube is defined as the distance from the turbinate opening when the objective is mounted, to the top edge of the observation tube into which the eyepieces fit.

Most microscopes have a fixed range of tube lengths, these are dependent on the manufacturer and application.

Stereo microscopes are also the most widely used, and their main uses are as follows:
1. Research on zoology, botany, entomology, histology, mineralogy, archaeology, geology, dermatology, etc.
2. It can be used in the inspection of raw materials and cotton fabrics in the textile industry.
3. In the electronics industry, it is used as an operating tool for transistor spot welding and inspection.
4. Inspection of surface phenomena such as crack formation, pore shape, corrosion, etc. of various materials.
5. When manufacturing small precision parts, install machine tools, observe the working process, inspect precision parts and assemble tools.
6. Surface quality of lenses, prisms or other transparent substances, and quality inspection of precision scales.
7. Digital stereo microscope is used to identify the authenticity of documents and banknotes.
8. Widely used in textile products, chemicals, plastic products, electronic manufacturing, machinery manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, food processing, printing industry, universities, archaeological research and many other fields.
