What conditions should be paid attention to when calibrating combustible gas detectors

Before the calibration of the combustible gas detector, it should be ensured that there is no combustible gas in the surrounding environment of the combustible gas detector. If there is combustible gas, the rainproof cover should be removed first, and a certain amount of clean air should be filled in, and then the sample gas should be continuously introduced. , to ensure the accuracy of the calibration.

In principle, the calibration of combustible gas detectors should use the standard gas that has been certified by metrology and matches the gas to be detected.

When the measured gas is a hydrocarbon mixture, isobutane is selected as the sample gas, followed by propane.

For non-hydrocarbon mixtures or hydrocarbon mixtures with a large difference in heat generated during combustion of gases with lower explosive concentration, as a last resort, easily available and stable single-component fuels such as butane, isobutane, and propane can be used as samples. gas. At this time, the range of the alarm must be adjusted according to a certain detection signal conversion relationship.

Precautions for the use of portable gas detectors
1. Before using the portable gas detector, read the instruction manual carefully, understand the performance and operation method of the instrument before using it;

2. In the process of using the instrument, you should always check whether there is any blockage in the air inlet. If there is blockage, it should be cleaned or replaced in time;

3. In the process of using the portable gas detector, try to avoid collisions, resulting in abnormal detection data;

4. The instrument is detected by a sensor, which is a precision component. In general, the adjusted instrument should not be opened casually, and attention should also be paid to prevent moisture and impurities from entering the instrument, resulting in abnormal data;

5. If the indicator light flashes continuously during the use of the instrument, the display cannot display the value normally, the current ambient gas is obviously exceeding the standard, when the instrument does not respond, and there is a large gap in the measurement data, it should stop running, and continue after the abnormality is eliminated in time use.

6. After the portable gas detector is turned off, the dust attached to the surface should be cleaned, and the equipment should be cleaned regularly;

7. If the instrument is not used for a long time, it should be turned off and stored in a dry, dust-free environment with a suitable temperature.
