What gases can be detected by the combustible gas alarm gas detector?

Broadly speaking, gas detectors are mainly used to detect flammable gases, toxic/hazardous gases and oxygen. Among combustible gases, methane, butane, propane, etc. are the gases with high detection frequency. Flammable gas leaks are dangerous. Once the concentration of leaked combustible gas accumulated in the air reaches or exceeds the explosion limit, at this time, as long as there is an open flame or electric spark, it is very likely to cause an explosion accident, and then cause a fire and other more dangerous accidents. Therefore, in industrial and commercial sites with hidden dangers of flammable gas leakage, gas detectors must be installed. This is responsible for the safety of on-site personnel and the property safety of industrial and commercial sites.

Among the toxic and harmful gases, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, chlorine, etc. are detected frequently. These toxic gases cause different degrees of damage to the human body, but all of them will cause irreversible damage. For example, when the human body inhales excessive carbon monoxide, when the concentration is maintained at about 1000ppm, and the personnel are exposed to this environment for more than 20 minutes, uncomfortable conditions may occur. And when the exposure time exceeds 40 minutes, life safety will be threatened.

In the detection of oxygen, there are two concepts of hypoxia and oxygen enrichment. When the oxygen content in the air drops below 19.5% v/v, a hypoxic environment is created. Workers exposed to this environment may experience symptoms such as dizziness, headache, palpitation, and shortness of breath. And when the oxygen content in the air drops below 16% v/v, the hypoxic environment will be even worse. Personnel working in this environment must leave immediately and enter the work after the oxygen content returns to normal. An oxygen-deficient environment is dangerous, and an oxygen-enriched environment cannot be ignored either. In an oxygen-enriched environment, the most dangerous thing is to increase the flammability of items, and the flammability of some flammable materials and flammable and explosive gases will increase relatively in this environment.

Gas detectors are not only suitable for industrial and commercial places, but also have a wide range of applications, such as petrochemical, power generation, semiconductor manufacturing, tunnels, parking lots, hospitals and other places, all need to install gas detectors.
