What is the magnification of the electron microscope
The magnification of the microscope refers to the product of the magnification of the eyepiece and the objective lens, and the magnification is the length or width of the object image. If the magnification of the eyepiece is 10 times and the magnification of the objective lens is 40 times, the magnification of the microscope is ═10×40═400 times.
There are two concepts of total magnification, one is optical magnification and the other is digital magnification (digital magnification is only involved when an imaging device is connected).
1. Optical magnification refers to the magnification of the object we observe from the microscope eyepiece after being magnified. The calculation method of optical magnification is relatively simple, that is, objective lens multiple * eyepiece multiple.
For example, in the calculation of the magnification of a stereo microscope, the objective lens of a continuous zoom stereo microscope is usually 0.7-4.5 times, and in the case of a 10 times eyepiece, the total magnification of this microscope is 7-45 times.
The calculation of biological microscopes and metallographic microscopes is simpler. The general objective lens configuration is 4 times, 10 times, 40 times, and 100 times. The normal configuration of eyepieces is 10 times, and there are also 16 times and 20 times. The total magnification can be obtained by multiplying it by the magnification of the objective lens.
