What issues should be paid attention to when testing with toxic gas detectors?
The use of toxic gas detectors not only improves the safety factor of operators, but also protects the environment. However, when conducting toxic gas testing, the following issues should also be noted:
1. Testing personnel must strictly abide by the rules and regulations of the enterprise and carry out testing work in accordance with the requirements of the enterprise's rules and regulations.
2. Select gas pressure reducing valves with flow meters and pipeline materials that do not affect gas concentration according to the verification regulations.
3. Carry a leakage detector and anti electric shock gloves with you, especially when operating the controller or opening the back cover of the detector on site. Test the leakage detector first to confirm that there is no leakage phenomenon before proceeding to the next step of work to prevent the risk of electric shock. In some places, the alarm controller has a linkage function. In order to ensure the normal operation of the enterprise's production without stopping due to detection work, it is necessary to unplug the linkage connection part in advance.
4. The supporting equipment such as standard gas substances, stopwatches, and flow meters required for calibration must be within their validity period.
5. Some detectors are installed in environments with poor ventilation and slow gas switching speeds. It is recommended to bring a miniature portable air pump to avoid affecting the accuracy of calibration due to high combustible gas content in a certain location, and to improve calibration efficiency.
6. The calibration environment for gas detection alarms must comply with the conditions specified in the calibration regulations. Exceeding the allowable range will affect the accuracy of the calibration results.
