What to look for in a fabric thickness gauge
This thickness gauge is used to measure the vulcanised rubber or thermoplastic rubber test specimens and products and other thickness measurement instruments, this instrument has a simple structure, easy to use, fast measurement, direct sensing and so on, its implementation of the GB/T5723-93 standard. Test principle will be placed on the specimen on the reference plate, with the pressure foot on the specimen pressure, measuring the contact specimen pressure foot area and the distance between the reference plate, that is, the thickness value. According to the standard and special needs, there may be different presser feet need to choose different presser feet as needed. Unscrew the presser foot in the off state and screw the replacement presser foot on to switch on the machine for normal testing.
Precautions before using the digital indicator
If there is dust or other dirt on the measuring rod, it will affect the movement of the rod, so please use a clean cloth without oil to wipe it clean before use.
Wipe the case clean with a soft dry cloth. If the case is heavily soiled, wipe with a damp cloth containing a neutral detergent, do not use volatile solvents such as thinner as this may damage the case.
Unauthorised personnel should not disassemble or repair the digital indicator to avoid damage to the indicator.
Test Procedure
Shortly press ZERO/ON button on the digital display to turn on the digital display. Ensure that the instrument is positioned horizontally and then press ZERO/ON to clear the display. Lift the presser foot, place the fabric under the presser foot, lower the presser foot and place the weight on the presser foot. Start the stopwatch and take a reading in 5±1s. The number of measuring points per leather is selected according to different standards.
