1. Look at the appearance of the spirit level
The first thing to do when purchasing a spirit level is to observe the appearance of the level, whether the scale is obvious and clear, whether the surface is smooth and free from scratches, pores, rust, etc. In addition, the scale line of the spirit level should also be perpendicular to the axis of the spirit level. Otherwise it will not only affect its beauty but also affect the accuracy of our measurement data.
2. Check the accuracy of the level
The level is a common tool for measuring small angles, and its accuracy directly affects the measurement results of the level. Therefore, it is necessary to check the accuracy of the level before purchasing. Before the inspection, all parts of the level must be scrubbed clean, and then the level should be placed on the metal plate in the inspection room, and the same temperature time should not be less than 3 hours. The temperature in the inspection room should be 20+2°C, and the inspection should be carried out under the condition of firmness, no vibration, and away from heat sources.
3. Understand the material of the level
The quality of the material of the level will affect its durability on the one hand, and on the other hand, it has a lot to do with its accuracy. At present, the more common materials in the market are steel, cast iron, and magnesium-aluminum alloys. The bending points of these three are 30kg/mm2, 38kg/mm2, and 110kg/mm2. More durable, better resistance to bending and deformation, so when choosing a level, it is recommended to choose magnesium aluminum alloy material first.
