Which is more resistant to interference, a digital multimeter or an analog multimeter?
Let me share my usage experience. Initially, I used a pointer multimeter. When using it, for example, in the resistance range, it sometimes needs to be zeroed. When measuring voltage, I start with the high gear to prevent burning the meter. In addition, when measuring, I also need to keep it steady, and when reading the value, my line of sight should be perpendicular to the dial surface. It is greatly affected by human and environmental interference.
On the other hand, digital multimeters do not have the above-mentioned drawbacks and have a high daily input impedance, so there is no need to worry about burning the meter.
But the pointer multimeter has an advantage of being intuitive when measuring parameters.
A digital multimeter has relatively low requirements for the usage environment, a wide range of applications, strong anti-interference ability, and intuitive parameter viewing.
The analog multimeter has a large volume, is inconvenient to carry, requires high environmental requirements, has poor anti-interference ability, and is inconvenient to read, but has high accuracy.
The anti-interference ability is of course better with a pointer multimeter. When measuring some electrical parameters, such as the voltage at certain points inside a frequency converter, a digital multimeter may have a jumping reading that cannot be read. A pointer multimeter does not have this problem, but its accuracy and ease of use are inferior to digital meters. In short, both have their own strengths and weaknesses.
There are two types of dial watches: internal magnetic and external magnetic. Due to the influence of static electricity, the error is too large. If you don't believe it, just rub the hands on the dial glass and the hands won't return to their original position. Digital watches are useful, but each has its own length.
