Why do gas detectors need to replace their probes and what are the precautions to take

As is well known, many portable gas detectors can replace their detection sensors, but this does not mean that a detector can be equipped with different detector probes at any time. At any time, when replacing the probe, in addition to requiring a certain amount of sensor activation time, the instrument must also be recalibrated. In addition, it is recommended to conduct response testing on the standard gas used in various instruments before use to ensure that the instruments truly play a protective role. So what are the precautions for replacing gas detectors with probes?

Precautions for replacing gas detector probes:
1. Prevent gas detectors from falling from heights or being subjected to severe vibrations;

2. It should be used in a place without corrosive gases, oil fumes, dust, and rainproof;

3. Do not let the gas detector frequently come into contact with high concentration gases above the detection range, and it is strictly prohibited to collide and disassemble the sensor, otherwise it will lose the working life of the sensor;

4. If the machine shows no response for a long time, please turn off the power and restart;

5. To ensure measurement accuracy, the machine should be calibrated regularly, and the calibration cycle should not exceed one year;
