Why is moisture measurement in paper and packaging products important to you?
Paper and its related products are widely used in the packaging industry and are susceptible to damage when excessive moisture is present in these products. Moisture also plays an undeniably important role in evaluating material performance. Controlling the moisture content present in your products will enable you to produce good products for your customers. Therefore, it is important for you to maintain the moisture content in these products through effective testing.
A handheld moisture meter tester is an effective testing equipment that allows you to analyse the exact moisture content present in paper and packaging materials. Whenever you choose this laboratory testing equipment, there are some things that you need to keep in mind while selecting this product. Other factors include correct atmospheric conditions, checking for repeatability and its quality.
There are different types of modes available when pressing the MODE button in the moisture meter
1. Viewing Average Readings
If the user presses the MODE button while the message "Press Measure Key" is displayed or after a measurement reading is displayed, the average, total, high and low readings will be displayed. (Up to 100 readings can be stored for each paper type.)
2. Setting Limits (UPPER and LOWER) for Selected Paper Type
The user can access the limits using the "Enter" key, the "UP" and "LEFT" keys are used to set the limits, after setting the appropriate limits, the "Enter" key is used to set the limits. After setting the appropriate limits, the "Enter" key is used to store the limits.
Clearing data (deleting readings stored for the selected paper type)
The moisture measured by the meter can be stored in the unit's memory, a total of 100 readings can be stored in the memory for each paper type. To clear the stored readings, press "Enter" and the user will be prompted to press "Enter" again to clear the data for the selected paper type in memory. 3.
3. Selected Type
In this mode, you can select the paper type, press the "Enter" key to view the selected paper type, use the "UP" key to select the paper type, press the "Enter" key to confirm the selection. The Digital Moisture Meter offers three main paper selection modes.
a) Paper (4.7 - 18.2%)
b) User Calibrated (8 - 100%)
c) Packed Waste Paper (6-40%)
