Advantages and the theory of NCV non-contact test pencils
Cable breakage can be said to be one of the most common cable faults in the daily cable integrated wiring installation and maintenance work. However, in the actual engineering maintenance and overhaul, for many maintenance personnel, it is a very troublesome thing to encounter a break in the middle of the wire and cable. When the internal medium of the cable breaks, we cannot see the exact location because of the shielding of the outer insulation. This is the case in the case of strong and weak currents. It is difficult for maintenance personnel to determine the location of the breakpoint safely and efficiently.
With the advancement of science and technology, a variety of efficient detection tools have appeared, and this problem has been effectively solved. Among the many testing tools, the small and portable NCV non-contact electrometer is a testing instrument with a very high application frequency.
So here comes the question, what is the NCV non-contact test pencil? What is the working principle of this instrument? What are its advantages? What are its application scenarios?
NCV non-contact test pencil
"NCV" is the abbreviation of NON CONTACT VOLTAGE, which means "non-contact voltage detection". The NCV non-contact test pen uses electromagnetic field induction detection technology to realize non-contact detection of whether an object is charged. It can be used to find live wires buried in the wall, or to find buried broken wires, etc., suitable for higher AC voltage. It only judges whether there is voltage or not, and cannot measure the level of specific voltage.
Usually, the NCV non-contact electric test pen can also be used to distinguish the neutral and live wires of the socket. When the live wire is detected, there will be an audible and visual alarm, and there will be no audible and visual alarm when the neutral wire is detected.
